Upcoming Course in Health Inequities among Migrant and Immigrant Populations: Information Session October 25th, 2017

GSHI’s Dr. Shira Goldenberg will be leading a course offering in Global Health through SFU (open to applicants from some other Canadian institutions under the Western Dean’s Agreement on a competitive basis) from April 24 – May 3, 2018.  This intensive course in health inequities related to migration in the global south will be taking place at the University of California, San Diego in La Jolla, California with field visits to community, clinical and research sites in Tijuana, Mexico.

An information session will be held from 2:30 – 3:30pm on Wednesday, October 25th, 2017 at Simon Fraser University Burnaby Campus, Blusson Hall Room 9920.

Interested students are encouraged to attend the information session for more information. Applications are accepted until November 15th  and will be reviewed as they are received.

Eligible students are invited to apply by sending one email with the following materials to shira_goldenberg@sfu.ca:

·       a one-page statement summarizing their interest in the course and how the course complements their learning and career goals;

·       transcripts from all post-secondary institutions;

·       and a copy of their passport.
