In March more than 300 academics and researchers sent an open letter to MPs voicing opposition to the Nordic model. They want decriminalization.
They argue the evidence shows that in Sweden, Norway and elsewhere, "criminal laws targeting the sex industry have overwhelmingly negative social, health and human rights consequences to sex workers, including increased violence and abuse."
In other words, the Nordic model does not address the Supreme Court's original concerns. If the court sides with the academics, they'll reject the Nordic model for the same reason they struck down the previous three laws.
