Federal justice minister talks with GSHI about sex work, HIV criminalization

The federal minister of justice, Jody Wilson-Raybould, visited the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS on Feb. 27, 2017.

As part of her visit, Minister Wilson-Raybould met with Dr. Kate Shannon, Dr. Andrea Krüsi, and Brittany Bingham from the Gender and Sexual Health Initiative to discuss the critical evidence-based need for the repeal of the Protection of Communities and Exploited Persons Act and overall decriminalization of sex work as well as the gendered impacts of HIV non-disclosure criminalization.
