Dr. Shira Goldenberg gives guest lecture titled 'Migration, Mobility and Health: Implications for Global Health Programs and Policies' at San Diego State University

Dr. Shira Goldenberg was invited to give a guest lecture at San Diego State University on March 26, 2014 titled 'Migration, Mobility and Health: Implications for Global Health Programs and Policies' based on her research on migration and HIV risk among vulnerable populations in Mexico and Central America.

Her reseach on Mexico and Central America found migration and mobility link to a higher number of sexual partners, an increased likelihood of drug use, barriers to accessing care, exposure to violence and human rights abuses, as well as protective behaviours, such as condom use.
