Dr. Kate Shannon receives inaugural CAHR-CANFAR Excellence in Research Award

This year, the Canadian Association for HIV/AIDS Research (CAHR) and the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research (CANFAR) launched the CAHR-CANFAR Excellence in Research Awards to honour the work of Canadian researchers endeavouring to effect change for people living with and affected by HIV.

Dr. Kate Shannon, director of the Gender and Sexual Health Initiative, won an inaugural award in the category of epidemiology and public health.

Up to five CAHR-CANFAR Excellence in Research Awards will be presented annually at the CAHR conference, held this year in Montreal.
