Dr. Kate Shannon discusses collaborations in women's health research at 1st Annual Women's Health Research Symposium

The Women's Health Research Institute (WHRI) hosted their 1st Annual Women's Health Research Symposium on April 27th in Vancouver, with suport from the BC Women's Hospital Foundation, BC Women's Hospital and Health Centre, and PHSA. The all day event provided an opportunity for investigators and stakeholders interested in women's health research to come together to share successes, and to discuss issues important to women's health research in British Columbia. GSHI Director Dr. Kate Shannon joined a panel to discuss the importance of collaboration in women's health research. The event began with a welcome letter from Prime Minister Trudeau, thanking the organizers and attendees and emphasizing the importance of research on women's health and of gathering together to "blaze a path forward to collaborate across disciplines in order to improve health care of women."
