Dr. Kate Shannon chair of panel discussion at UBC Conference on 'Public Health Policy in Asia'

On December 7th, 2013, GSHI's Director Dr. Kate Shannon chaired a panel discussion as part of a two-day international conference titled 'Public Health Policy in Asia: Rights, Risks, Redistribution & Resilience'. The conference was sponsored by the Institute of Asian Research, Faculty of Law and Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia (UBC), and the Social Science Research Council of Canada. Dr. Shannon chaired a panel discussion titled 'Rights: Marginalized populations and access to health care' which included speakers on the topics of health in Aboriginal communities, Gender and HIV in Vietnam, and Dementia and care of the elderly in China.
