Dr. Kate Shannon appointed as new Canada Research Chair in Global Sexual Health and HIV/AIDS

On October 16, 2014 GSHI Director Dr. Kate Shannon's appointment as a new Canada Research Chair in Global Sexual Health and HIV/AIDS was announced.  This appointment comes in recognition of Dr. Shannon's extensive research and leadership in the field of gender and sexual health.  Dr. Shannon's work has demonstrated her commitment to generating evidence in support of meaningful and relevant interventions for marginalized women in Canada and internationally, including sex workers, youth, and women living with HIV.
